About Us Stevens and Son Wholesale Florist was founded in 1966 by Paul Stevens. The Stevens family mainly grew Colorado Carnations which were sent to the local wholesale florist for distribution. Back then Colorado was know as the "Carnation Capitol of the World". In 1977 the company was purchased by
its current owner... Bruce Daniel. It's still a family business with
Bruce Stevens and Son is the largest grower of Oriental and Asiatic Lilies in the Rocky Mountain region. We also grow several varieties of: Alstroemeria, Dahlias, Freesia, Iris, Matsumoto Asters, Snapdragons, Sunflowers, Tulips, and Spring hanging baskets, and Patio pots. We receive large shipments of
cut flowers from global sources daily... with our primary receiving days
being We believe in running a clean operation. Before the morning delivery run... our drivers clean buckets daily in hot soapy water using our "Home Made" bucket cleaning machine. Buckets are washed inside and out and then moved by pallet jack to the receiving area. Our coolers are also cleaned daily. At the end of each day the receiving crew consolidates the cooler. The floors are swept, then mopped with a disinfectant solution as an extra measure to ensure freshness and quality. Every department at Stevens and Son is managed with up most in care.
