The Florigene Moonshade™ standard Carnation is a blueish purple color. No other commercially grown Carnation comes close to matching its unique color. When the flower is tight the petals are a darker shade of purple than the opened flower pictured above. Vase life is longer than standard South American Carnations.

There are only two growers in South America licensed to produce Florigene Carnations. These two growers supply all of Mexico, Canada, and the USA. This explains why Florigene Carnations are always in short supply.
