Celosia is broken down into two groups. Plumosa types and cristata types. This vividly colored Celosia is a member of the plumosa group. It is botanically known as Celosia argentea and sometimes called Plume Celosia. Its large feathery flower heads are an excellent addition to spring or fall arrangements and bouquets.

Celosia is considered a medium mass flower with a vase life of 5 to 7 days depending on environmental conditions.
