Chelone
obliqua is commonly known as Turtle Heads. The Greek word Chelone
means tortoise, in this case referring to the flowers which look
similar to a turtle's head... thus its common name. Turtle Heads
can be found growing wild throughout North America and are a
popular garden plant that is winter hardy in Colorado.
Chelone has a vase life 5 to 7 days
depending on bud stage and environmental conditions.
