Craspedia
is more commonly known as Billy Balls or Billy Buttons. This
sub-tropical flower
was originally native to Australia and New Zealand, but is now
commercially grown in California and South America. It is
botanically known as Craspedia uniflora and is a member of the
Aster family. Billy Balls air dry quite well if hung upside down
in a cool, dry dark area.
Craspedia is considered a small
accent flower that has a vase life of 10 to 14 days depending on
age and environmental conditions.
