Drumstick
Allium is botanically known as Allium sphaerocephalon. It is
actually a member of the Amaryllis family. As with all Allium's,
Drumstick Allium has a light onion odor. The flower heads on the
pictured specimen are tight, but will open from the top down
reveling a cluster of small light purple flowers. Vase
life is 7 to 10 days or longer depending on environmental
conditions.
