| A
Stevens and Son "Home Grown" flower |
Freesia
flowers are quite fragrant with a sweet, fruity aroma. This unique
flower holds it blossoms on the upper side of the stem, with the
flowers opening from the bottom to the top. Its fairly common for
the buds on the tip of the stem to never open. Ever wonder why
Freesia commends higher prices? From seed to flower it takes approximately
8 months to grow a crop of Freesia.
Freesia
was originally native to Southern Africa, but is now cultivated
world wide for the floral trade. They are grown in both single and
double varieties... with doubles being the most popular. Vase life
is 5 to 10 days depending on bud stage and environmental
conditions.
Please consult with your sales
representative for this weeks availability of our "Home
Grown" Freesia.
