This wonderful garden type flower is botanically known as Gaillardia x grandiflora. Common names include Indian Blanket or Blanket Flower. A native of North America, Gaillardia has been hybridized into five perennial varieties that are popular in the gardening community. 

Gaillardia has a vase life of 5 to 7 days depending on bud stage and environmental conditions.
