Gerber
Daisies are also called Gerbera, or "Transvaal Daisy".
Botanically their known as Gerbera jamesonii. Originally
native to Africa and Asia... Gerber Daisies are grown world wide
for the floral trade. Standard Gerber Daisies have vividly colored
flowers that can reach 5 inches in diameter. Mini Gerbers are just
as brightly colored, reaching 2" to 3" in diameter.
Standard Gerbs are sold individually or 42 per tray. Vase life varies from 5 to 10 days depending on age and environmental
conditions.
