Poppies are botanically known as Papaver. They are a very popular garden plant throughout North America. Poppies have large papery single petals with a dark eye. Some buds may be nodding while others remain upright. Poppies are quite popular in spring bouquets and arrangements.

Poppies are considered a medium mass flower with vase life of 4 to 6 days depending on bud stage and environmental conditions.
