Sandersonia or Chinese Lantern Lily is botanically known Sandersonia aurantiaca. This beautiful seasonal flower with yellowish to orange flowers is also occasionally called Christmas Bells. 

Originally native to Southern Africa, Sandersonia is now commercially grown in New Zealand, Holland and North American as a seasonal commercial cut flower crop. Sandersonia contains a compound called colchicine which can be toxic to humans and pets.

Vase life varies from 5 to 7 days depending on bud stage and environmental conditions.
