Eryngium is related to the common Thistle. This little gem also called "Sea Holly". Once its duty is done in the fresh arrangement... most Eryngium flowers dry quite nicely. To dry Sea Holly hang bunches upside down in a dry dark area. Spray Sea Holly with a commercial fixative before using in dried arrangements. This long lasting medium form flower has excellent vase life with stems lasting 7 to 14 days depending on age and environmental conditions.
