Chinese Lantern is botanically known as Sandersonia aurantiaca. You may also here them called Christmas Bells as they are quite popular in Africa during their Christmas holiday. Sandersonia is native to South Africa where it is found climbing rocks and small trees. It is actually a member of the Lily family. Chinese Lanterns distinct orange blossoms may open at the bottom forming a "Chefs Hat" like appearance.
