Bear Grass has several common names including Elk Grass, Indian Basket Grass, and Squaw Grass. Bear Grass is botanically known as Xerophyllum tenax. It is native to western North America which makes it available year round. This inexpensive green tends to "weep" or "arch" when used in arrangements. Bear Grass air dries quite well. Vase life is excellent varying from 10 to 14 days depending on age and environmental conditions.
