Kiss of
Death Ginger is botanically known as Costus longibracteatus. Its
common name was probably derived from its weapon like appearance.
As one can see from the picture,
Kiss of Death is a beautiful burgundyish-reddish-brown exotic
tropical flower that is remarkably hardy and easy to keep.
Although we've not seen a Kiss of Death flowering the
inflorescence produces orange flowers. Each stem weights 2 to 3
pounds which should be kept in mind when desiging.
