"Lobster
Claw" is botanically known as Helicona aurantiaca. It is native to
Mexico and Costa Rica, but is grown commercially in Hawaii as a
tropical cut flower. Heliconia Lobster Claw is sold by the stem with
each stem having one large flower. Each stem measures 40" to
48" or more in overall length. Vase life is excellent... with the flowers lasting
10 to 14 days. Heliconia Lobster Claw needs to be
kept warmer than your every day flowers... with a preferred
temperature of 65 degrees.
