"Mokara Orchid" is commonly referred to as the "Smile Orchid". The intricate patterns within the petals of some varieties make the orchid look as though it is smiling... hence its common name. This elegant exotic Orchid was originally native to Bangkok and Singapore and is now commercially grown in Hawaii. Vase life is excellent... with the flowers lasting 7 to 14 days depending on bud stage and environmental conditions. To ensure the greatest vase life change the orchids water twice a week, cutting the stem 1/2 inch with each water change.
