Fishtail Palm has several common names including Burmese Fishtail palm, and Clustered Fishtail palm. It is botanically known as Caryota mitis. This tropical palm is native to Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Bunches are very long measuring between 36" to 48" in length. The main rib of the palm frond is stiff and will kink if bent. The leaves are jagged along the edges giving the entire frond an appealing look.
