"Rose Spoon" Protea is also commercially grown in Australia and Hawaii for the floral trade. It is botanically known as Protea eximia. Rose Spoon Protea is also frequently called Red Tip Protea or Duchess Protea. This exotic tropical form flower with its red flower head is quite popular during the Christmas holiday. 

Rose Spoon Protea can be safely kept in the cooler with other cut flowers providing the temperature is at or above 36 degrees. Vase life is excellent... with the flowers lasting 2 to 3 weeks.
