Fiddleheads or Fern shoots are actually the unopened fronds of a giant tropical fern botanically known as Dicranopteris linearis. Fiddleheads are also called Uhule Curls. They are available in either a green variety or the purplish-red variety.

The curled heads of this unusual tropical filler will begin to open in 5 days. Vase life is approximately 7 days. Fiddle heads dry quite well if hung upside down if the curls are still curled.
