Asclepias

(as-klee-pee-us)

Asclepias is commonly known as Butterfly Weed, and is botanically known as Asclepias tuberosa. Asclepias is native to the eastern regions of North America and can be grown as a perennial in Colorado. Being a member of the Milkweed family, Asclepias is known to bleed white sap. Dipping freshly cut stems in hot water should stop the bleeding.

Asclepias is considered a medium filler flower with a vase life of 3 to 7 days depending on environmental conditions. Please consult with your sales representative for this weeks availability.
