Stevens and Son Wholesale Florist is the largest grower of Oriental and Asiatic lilies in the Rocky Mountain region. Our Oriental Lilies can be shipped in various stages of bud development. We prefer to ship the flowers with closed or cracked buds to avoid damage in transit. Pollen should be removed from the flowers to prevent petal staining. The Society of American Florist recommends keeping lilies out of the reach of cats.
Vase life is 3 to 4 days per bloom.

Here’s a Tip on Opening Lilies Faster:
We grow our own Asiatic and Oriental Lilies which means that our customers receive the freshest Lilies on the market. Sometimes this also means that the Lilies arrive at the shop tight.
To speed opening of a Stevens Lily cut about an inch off the bottom of the bunch and lay the bunch on a table out of water for 2 to 3 hours. Then re-cut and place the Lilies in cold water that has Chrysal Bulb Formula Flower Food mixed with the water. This will cause the buds to open quicker than normal processing.
There are other tricks to speed up Lilies such as: Warm water and/or warm air treatments, Bagging the Lilies to trap ethylene, and placing the Lilies in direct sun light or under grow lamps.
Some of the varieties that we grow include:
Stargazer types: Crystal Star, Stargazer, Starfighter, Merostar, La Mancha, Fanopoli
Bi-colors: Red Dutch, Shocking, Triumphator, Zagora
