Pumpkin Tree is botanically known as Solanum, a member of the Eggplant family. This very curious branch begins its life as a star shaped white flower. After pollination Pumpkin Tree begins producing the small pumpkin like fruits. In the middle east Pumpkin Tree is called “Turkish Orange”. In Asia its called “Hmong Eggplant” and used for cooking. We don’t recommend eating the commercially grown Pumpkin Tree that we offer for sale. Vase life varies from 1 to 2 weeks depending on age and environmental conditions.
