There are two types of Scabiosa: Fama Scabiosa and Annual Scabiosa. The Fama Scabiosa has a distinct center showing in the middle with surrounding petals. The Annual Scabiosa has many flower petals surrounding the whole head of the flower, making it into a circular, or sometimes, cone shape.
