This genus is named after its kidney-shaped pollinia, the modified anther of many orchids.
Species are distributed from India, New Guinea, and through to the Philippines.
Species in this genus produce a branch containing numerous flowers. These flowers possess large lateral sepals.
Vase life is excellent… with flowers lasting 10 to 14 days depending on bud stage and environmental conditions.
